TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS

๐Ÿ˜‚

This October, funny and baffling things happened.

I’ll start with the funny, because who doesn’t like a good laugh?

I was at my lowest this month, money-wise.

It was so bad that even my savings could not save me, and let's not talk about my source of income.

I asked myself, “And it’s not like you eat a lot, so what is the problem?”

Guess what?

The trendy song, Temporary Solutions, began playing in my head.

You could imagine that!

The lyrics hit me like epiphanies, and nothing made more sense to me than that song, Temporal Solution by Pastor Solomon.

Now, there are two problems I identified in that song, and I’ll talk about the very obvious one.

The Temporary Solutions.

A good example should be Get Rich Quick Schemes.

Life gets harder by the day, and it breaks the resolve of so many, you and I included.

Getting access to food now has become a strenuous task. Eating three square meals a day takes the grace of God for a lot of us, and if you can afford it, you're as privileged.

Now, with such hardship on the ground, the strength to pursue things long-term is not feasible.

To throw more light, giving up seems like a better option because everything is futile—no light at the end of the tunnel.

And that pushes us to do things at the periphery without finding root causes. It’s like building a house on a faulty foundation.

A storm can cause the house to crumble, which leads to a mass waste of resources.

If that happens, where do you lay your head at night?

Where do you call home?

Where do you find solace when the worries of day creep into the night?

Temporary things fade out easily, and sometimes you don’t need to try because, in the first place, it’s nature.

So why dwell on such solutions?

Why can’t we sit back and draft a plan that foresees mishaps?

Why can’t we take the bull by its horns and find out “why”?

Must we wait until we exhaust, spend, frustrate ourselves, and deplete resources?

It’s not enough that we don’t have enough time on Earth, so why don’t we give it our best?

I came across Destiny’s story on X (Twitter) and how he had to spend himself on a law exam, and he passed.

He knew he needed to get to his goal, and just studying for an hour or two wouldn’t get him permanent results.

He knew it was a do-or-die affair. He held his future in his hands and drafted out a plan for success.

Are you willing to take risks for your good?

The ball has always been in your court. You just have to decide what net you’re shooting at.

As for the baffling things, you might want to follow me up on X(Twitter)๐ŸŒ

Till next time,

D.

Believe

Hi guys๐Ÿ˜Š, I'm back from the very long break and I guess I was greatly missed ๐Ÿคญ. So our topic of discussion today is Believe.  It is a cure to fear. For those of you who remember, in our last session,  I said we are going to deal with how to overcome fear and voila, here we are.  Believe simply put means having faith in something or someone. Our focus is on believing in yourself and I mean you. Like I said before, Fear is a negative vibe that distabilises humans. So we can see Believe as a Positive vibe. Most times the human mind is weakened by what it sees, hears or feels and so it needs to be tricked into believing it can overcome. There was a particular time in my life when I just felt like I couldn't take it anymore. I just couldn't control what was happening in my life. To be sincere, I was scared of living. I came in contact with a friend who was living life like it will end the next day. She made me realize that there's nothing to be scared of especially since I...

IMPERFECTIONS

Have you ever gone on Social media, particularly WhatsApp and decide that you'll use a few moments to just go through statuses. You come across things that make you cringe, some make you happy, some make you sad and some brings out an ugly head that will just weaken your mind and break your self esteem. Very crazy indeed. From there you start asking yourself questions that can either build you up or bring you down. Everytime I create a new post on my blog, I go through a lot of doubts asking myself if it's good enough or if people actually read what I post or if it even creates a spark in someone's mind to keep pushing (Pushing P๐Ÿ˜‚) and guess what, if the negative thought supercedes the positive, I'll just tell myself, "Wo, just give up abegggi" and to think I actually do it๐Ÿ™‚. There's this song that lives rent-free in my head. I heard it from a Disney cartoon I watched years ago. "Look at me,  I would never pass for a perfect bride Or a perfect d...

Reality Sucks

Yes Yes It sucks and I mean it.  Most times, we can't come to terms with happenings around us. We tend to dwell more in our minds and heads, not really caring if we are doing it right or not. I for one know what it's like prolly because I wallow in fantasies a lot but then if you keep on drowning yourself in your thoughts, you're paving ways for depression. Let's all come to terms with the saying that nothing lasts forever. Reality brings you out from the fantasy wall you've built into a world that's uncomprehending. This topic came from a thought in my head and boy did it take me a while to find words to give birth to this piece. For the first time since I started this blog, I had a writer's block and that's when it dawned on me that nothing is actually perfect. Things don't go smoothly all the time. Your reality might be scary, weird, blurry, confusing but that's what makes it reality . It's not a bed of Roses. In reality, shit happens. In...
